Earrings

I have recently branched out with the art of knotting, and I tried out a new art--tying earrings. The pair above was for my friend up in Blueridge, who graduated from high school *checking time* about an hour and 13 minutes ago. She is going to North Georgia College, and needed a graduation present. Comment if you have any good patterns, I would love to see them!

Epically Awesome Epic Fail

OK, so the guys in my class are, for some strange, I-don't-really-want-to-know-what-it-is reason, obsessed with the catch phrase "Epic Fail". So, when I found a bracelet pattern online and accidentally printed it out, they went CRAZY. (Or, I should say, crazier.) Above is a picture,beware, you may be blinded by its epic awesomeness.

Twin Ties: First Tutorial

OK, so here is a pattern that I, an expert, can make in 5 minutes 34 seconds, and I as a beginner, took 5 hours to make. Have fun!

First, cut six threads, 24 in. long/each, 3 of each color. Tie them together in an overhand knot, and separate them into 2 groups.

Now, you will make your first knot. (You only need single right & left knots for this one, thank goodness.) So, make a single right knot with the group on the right, in this case, blue, LEAVING IT ON THE RIGHT.

Next, make a single left knot with the green, leaving it ON THE LEFT.

Repeat these steps until perfect length. Seen below is what yours [probably won't] look like after about 11 sets.

When done, an expert's would look like the picture shown below.

Lucky Girl!

Well, I'm back, and a week and a half late, but I've got a new bracelet style going. I recently discovered how to make bordered alpha patterns. (If you have no idea what I'm talking about, hit the friendship-bracelets.net link and search "Alpha Tutorials". Trust me, you'll figure it out.) Now, I am mixing pictures and letters. Even if it takes a) longer and b) more thread, the results (see awesomeness above) are totally worth it. This lucky clover bracelet was for my friend Kati, who is Irish and proud of it.
